March into morning (natural disasters and human failures)

MarchIntoMorning_sToday, Australia is in the middle of a bushfire crisis. In 1955, the Hunter Valley (NSW, Australia) and regions to the west were devastated by unprecedented floods. Twenty-five lives were lost, hundreds of homes were destroyed. Then, as now, human failures lurked behind the ‘natural disaster’. So, what’s new? What’s not? And what are we going to do about it?
